Practices in the areas of commercial and personal litigation and consultation, with emphasis on matters arising from the distribution, use and generation of electricity. He is also available for independent Animal Research Compliance Investigations as well as a mediator or arbitrator.
Since 1985, Mr. Mondschein has regularly been lead counsel in numerous stray voltage trials involving claims of injury to dairy operations. This work involves complex issues of veterinary medicine, electrical engineering, and agricultural economics. His practice has included work in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Washington, Nebraska, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, New York, Pennsylvania, as well as Wisconsin. The firm maintains up-to-date information on national developments and research on stray voltage.
He has been involved in litigation and consultation relating to general primary distribution and transmission system operations, including rights of way, power plant fuel procurement and transportation agreements, and other commercial disputes and liability issues.
In addition, his practice has included a range of more general commercial and personal litigation including class action litigation related to the placement and use of fiber optic cables. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in automobile personal injury and related product liability litigation, and in general litigation. He has tried major injury medical negligence cases on behalf of plaintiffs.
